An anonymous letter to Coconut Tree.

My dear Coconut Tree,

It is time that we have a chat, a real one. It has been long years that you have been growing in this land and this home. I must say, you need to see the changes that has been happening around. You need to realise that as the world is expanding people are becoming small and you need to know that you are rather too tall for them now. You need to be shorter too. Dont become a liability to the so called owners of the land you are growing. They cant be hiring a man specially to climb on you and get the coconuts down. You better make it easier.

Havent you heard that people accuse of you getting their cholestrol up, specially in the land which is named after you. Does it make it uncomfortable for you to grow in that land? Is that why most of you trees are not growing well these days? It is sad to see half headed and stunted ones of your family.

People are using less of you. They are becoming lean and mean. Can you grow shorter for them. Can you make oil that doesnt supposedly give the rich cholestrol. Can you for heaven's sake be not such a hard nut to crack. Can you just be easy to scrape and easy to milk. Well, we need you, atleast some of us. So please grow well and be happy and please keep up to the name of the land.
